Sewaktu menyerahkan pen kepada Pak Lah, tangan aku menggeletar. Maklum kali pertama berdepan dengan pemimpin nombor satu negara. Lidah kelu untuk berkata-kata. Mujur ada Guru Besar. Malah apabila Pak Lah bertanya tentang nama sekolah, aku masih terpacak kaku. Datuk Syed Hamid Albar menjadi penyelamat bila dia menerangkan siapa Datuk Usman Awang.
OKlah kita tinggalkan dulu kisah banjir. Aku ingin mencatat diari sepanjang dua hari ini di kelasku. Tema minggu ini adalah keluarga. Sepanjang minggu kanak-kanak akan menonton tayangan VCD berjudul Families terbitan Walt Disney (Magic English) dan You Can Read bagi sesi Bahasa Inggeris. Antara lagu yang kanak-kanak minati ialah:
